do you have loco models for trainz??

have you had a chance to create locomotive models that you created for MSTS for Auran Trainz? I tried to create models but failed miserably. I was hoping you would release locomotive models for Trainz as well like for MSTS

hi roni my route building has come to a stand still because i cannot build any indian locos for trainz. i managed to build scaled versions of indian coaches but the locos are too hard to model with my modelling capabilities. so i have not made any progress with my route since feb. also now trainz is coming out with a new version i wanted to wait and see what changes are going to be in that version.

Hello Anand,

I am currently trying hard to find a solution to convert the locos (see the forum on Auran's site).
There were also some people willing to help me to convert and improve the models for Trainz.

Please don't stop working on your route, I am sure it will be of good use.
And I am also sure that Auran will make the next Trainz version, which is only due in 2004, compatible to the older ones.
It would be great if I could add your route project and some screenshots to this site so we finally have some Trainz stuff!
For templates how a project description could look like, please refer to the projects section on this site.

thanks for the encouragement. With the release of MSTS2 I feel a bit encouraged that perhaps the route editor will be something I can figure out. I would be happy to start a southern railway route for MSTS2 but I suppose that will not happen until later this year when it is released. I do want to produce something for the locos and stock that you have created as they are simply fantastic. Also I do not want to build for Trainz if all the scenery objects (refer to my posts in MSTS development section) are being built for MSTS. Let me see I have to take a hard look and decide is it going to be Trainz or MSTS for me but with the release of MSTS2 and news that Microsoft have overhauled the route editor I am greatly encouraged to pick up and start developing for MSTS.

If you can get someone on the content creator forum in Auran to help you then thats great cuz like they have said your textures are awsome and it would be great to see your locos in Trainz. Have you heard anything about the route editor in MSTS2 is it going to be like surveyor in trainz?

Just wait a little longer, if your been watching the Auran trainz forum you will know that shape converter is being worked on at the moment  and once complete you will be able to convert the locos from one sime to the other.

whycant we use 3d studio max for the design i surfed and i have seen that it is possible to make locos by using gmax software which is an addon for the trainz simulator

Hi!  roni,
      I am new joinee to this forum.I have both MSTS as well as Auran trainz2004 installed on my system.
I'm trying to create a route from chennai to kolkata with as much precision and details as possible.
But the only problem is that there are no indian locos available.Pls do keep me posted if there 's any way i can add the locos in Trainz.
Since the route i'm working on is a long and complicated one it would help if i get atleast 2 indian locos(1 WDM and 1WAM).
Once the route is ready i would love to post it here.
